Kasbah

Kasbah is inspired by the rich colours, textures and atmosphere of Marrakech. While creating this piece, I thought about the many impressions a city like this leaves behind—vibrant textiles, fragrant spices, weathered walls and handcrafted objects, all coming together to create a warm and layered visual experience. That variety is reflected throughout the composition. Especially when viewed in person, the painting invites you on a journey through its layers of colour, texture, subtle accents and intricate details, revealing something new every time you look. Warm reds and earthy browns, ochre and golden yellow form the foundation, complemented by touches of green and layered purples. Champagne gold, bronze and rose gold have been incorporated into multiple layers of paint. These metallic accents catch the light in a subtle way, adding depth, refinement and a gentle sense of movement. The painting measures 120 × 120 cm and is stretched on a 4.5 cm deep aluminium frame. The sides are fully painted, allowing the artwork to be displayed without the need for an additional frame. Interested in Kasbah?
