Ruby Mirage II

Ruby Mirage II is a commissioned painting, created from a shared connection with the Mirage series. The warmth and layered character of Ruby Mirage formed the starting point, with the wish to create the work in a size that would better suit the clients’ dining room. During The Art Experience, they viewed my work in person. Seeing the layers, details, and the way light moves across the surface gave a clear sense of direction. Ruby Mirage in 100 × 100 cm felt conceptually just right. Based on interior photos, we then chose a larger format of 120 × 120 cm together. Throughout the painting process, I shared images along the way so the clients could follow the development of the work. At the live review moment, everything felt complete. The same sense of alignment was there during delivery and installation. The painting was given a prominent place in the dining room, where the light naturally enhances the warm tones and subtle accents.
