Fall d'Orcia III

Those familiar with the earlier works in the Grounded series will immediately recognize the warm color palette in Fall d’Orcia III. The works are inspired by the feeling of a Tuscan autumn, specifically in Val d’Orcia. At the same time, this piece has its own structure and character. Warm earthy tones are combined with deep greens and touches of blue, creating contrast and depth. If you’ve ever visited Val d’Orcia, you might recognize that autumn feeling in this work. In this painting, I deliberately built up more layers. The combination of different textures and structures keeps the work engaging to look at – both up close and from a distance. Here too, I have subtly used metallic paint in tones such as bronze, champagne, and dark gold. These details are not immediately visible, but come to life when the light hits the surface.
